Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Langboard iPhone app, its keyboard extension, and this website. By downloading or using Langboard you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The service

Langboard is a Chinese pinyin keyboard with on-device English learning features. We may add, change, or remove features over time. The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control.

Langboard is not a certified medical, legal, or translation service. Machine translation and word glosses may contain errors; verify anything important before relying on it.

3. Purchases and subscriptions

Langboard offers optional paid membership, sold as auto-renewing subscriptions (monthly or yearly) and a one-time lifetime purchase. All purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID under the App Store's terms, which also govern payment, pricing, and billing.

• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and are managed in your App Store account settings.
• The lifetime purchase is paid once and does not expire or renew.
• Buying the lifetime while a subscription is active does not automatically cancel that subscription — cancel it yourself in Settings to avoid further charges.
• Purchased membership applies only to Langboard and cannot be transferred to other apps or accounts.

4. Refunds and cancellation

Refunds, downgrades, and subscription cancellation are handled by Apple through your App Store account. Removing the App does not cancel a subscription.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer the App except as permitted by law, rent or resell it, or use it to break the law, the App Store's rules, or anyone's rights. Your use of the apps you type in remains governed by those apps' own terms.

6. Disclaimer and liability

Langboard is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or losses arising from translations, learning content, or input errors. Nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot be limited by law.

7. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms when the App changes. The latest version is posted on this page with a new revision date. Questions can be sent to support@aiyu.chat.
